Two separate auctions, both from MBowker (who sold the first Trolls In Crazyland cart on eBay back in '05, but was a proto of the PAL version)

This time around he's selling the NTSC version (unrleased) of Trolls (starting at $750)
He's also got a copy of Mega Man 3 (not the same as Kap's or (Antons?). Kap's stickers had "20" printed on them, and had a white label on the front... Antons copy was in a cut up Super Mario Bros. case with lots of marker on the front.

This one seems to look more like Kap's copy, but the stickers have "03" printed on them. (That's printed, not handwritten), and has no label on the front, just a marker across the top saying mega man 3. That one's starting at $500.

Have you got pictures of that MM3 proto I won way back in the day, and/or others?

Uh, this might be a dumb question, but why does the second one say "Super Mario Bros." on the label?

It was common to place dev boards into existing games cartridge housing. They probably had a SMB cart laying around and needed someplace to stick the board. You'll see this a lot on NES protos.

Nice stuff but dang on that MM3 proto, i know it's wanted but $500 is way to steep for it IMO.

It's also one of three known. If I remember right, the one that I won years ago had some minor graphics glitch and that was it as far as noticeable differences go. If this one is the same or close to it, booooooring. Yeah, 500 bucks is way too high.

If it has major differences it would be worth more then usual, but i wouldn't pay more then $200 for it and that tops even.

Way back when this seller showed up with that first copy of Trolls in Crazyland, merp claimed that the guy was going to dump all of the proto stuff he owned. Whatever happened with that?

I know before they went on ebay he was trying to sell em on DP, so he probably struck up a deal that way and ended the auction early.
