Can we add DESAINE into the word filter yet?
One thing that I might have mentioned but didn't make the final draft was the copyright text at the bottom, TIERHEIT. I never figured out who/what that was, and if what Bablefish spat out is any indication, I might not wanna know. |

Quote: | The puzzle game was displayed side by side with titles such as Batman: Return of the Joker, Hebereke and Gimmick; the later two being later released in European markets as U*fouria: The Saga and Mr.Gimmick, respectfully. |
Should this be "respectively"?
Great Article, by the way. |

Something I forgot to add when I copy/pasted the draft, notified in bold:
"Three-piece blocks of identical sea creatures ....... another color.
All terribly interesting to say the least.
The playing area is ....."
It just adds to the kind of sarcastic charm I like to incorporate. I could care less about the babblings of TIERHEIT and the obvious but subtle "LAUGHING OUT LOUD furries" undertone that follows. |

Lovely!
Just read it and loved it!
(Though, yet to to test it, but that'll happen sometime soon too)
One day, I'm gonna be reading these articles as bedtime stories to my children.
Then at some point, I'll just vanish and many years later, the kids will start remembering the weird stuff their father used to tell them before they went to sleep. |

Check the downloads section of the article for a recently added NSF rip, courtesy of Chris Covell. |

If you ever do anything with 'em, lemme know.
One thing I probably should have mentioned in the article was the fact that it did have some good music, but frankly that doesn't justify the fact that the game is completely bland and sterile. |

I did post a translation patch for the tutorial screens.
Yeah, it wasn't really necessary. But I did.

Heh, figured I'd add that the Swedish gaming magazine "Super Play", in issue 124 (E3 issue, June 2006), has a little part in the magazine where they write about weirdness related to games (basicly stuff without limits), on page 137, they had a small little thingy saying "NES LEVER!" (NES LIVES!) and then explaining that it might not really be alive, but that the guys at LostLevels.org has 'once again' found another lost title, this time "Sunsoft's Pescatore".
Thought I'd mention it, the little bit is in Swedish, but if it's of interest of some sort, I could probably take a shot of the little snip of text and show you |

Awesome. Do it.
Is thisat all related to the "Super Play" SNES magazine that was published in the UK during the 90s? |

I'll fix a shot/scan when I get home tonight.
As for the background of the magazine.
It started out in the early 90s as "Nintendo Magasinet" (in Sweden/Norway atleast) and subscribers would get a bonus section in the mag called "Power Player" (Norway) and "Super Play" (Sweden).
They had a mixture of their own articles and stuff from Nintendo Power (and possibly UK Super Play)
Then in the end of 94 or early 95, it turned into just "Power Player/Super Play" and after a couple of issues, it went from being only Nintendo to doing multi console stuff.
They stopped translating it to Norwegian in late 96, I think.
(but it's still available here in Swedish + they tried to doa Norwegian translation of it a couple of years ago, but it only lasted for a few issues) |

Double post!
The front page of the issue.
The full page where there's a little snippety snip about LL
The little snippety snip about LL (close up)
Basicly, the text translates to:

"NES LIVES"
-Okay, the NES might not be alive. More like the grave has been robbed and there's been found more stuff in the pockets of the dead body. The guys at Lostlevels.org has once again found a lost title which never got a released. This time, it's Sunsoft's Pescatore, a rather soul less variation of the classic Puyo Puyo.

No URL? I guess they expect all their readers to know how to work a search engine. |
