|
|
I am here to tell all of you about the future of video gaming. Its the Hyperscan Game Console. Forget the Wii, PS3, & the XBOX 360. The power is all in this new 32-bit console from Mattel. Thats 32-bits of Hyper Power! It essentially can be described as a cross between trading cards and a video game console. That is basically what it is. By using RFID technology we can now experience the best of both worlds. RFID stands for "Radio Frequency Identification" and it's already widely used in non-game settings. Tiny RFID chips can transmit data; manufacturers and retailers use them in packaging to track inventory and help prevent theft and counterfeiting. The HyperScan console allows players to scan RFID-imbedded cards and then play a video game based on the information in those cards. The winner of that video game could then scan his card again -- and that card could be granted new powers. Choose fierce head to head competition with your friends or play alone!
At only $69.99 this system is more than worth it. Additional card packs will be priced at $9.99 while new games and additional controllers will be priced at $19.99.
When you purchace this wonderfull system it is packed in with the newest X-Men game (1 cd and 6 game cards).
Known Future games will be Ben10 (Action/Adventure), IWL (Wrestling), and Avatar.
Ben10
IWL
XMEN

LAUGHING OUT LOUD on the hardcore gaming 101 forum they almost banned me because they thought I was an ad spammer. I really think this system has some potential and could be cool if better games come out in the future. X-men already looks badass. |

I've seen the commerical for this and while the concept seems cool, the X-men game looks like the most horrible jerky and unpolished turd I've ever seen and I can't imagine any other games for it being much better. |

im gonna hax my cards to have the most elite powers evar. and i will always win cuz i am haxor my game card.
this puts legitimate gaming uses of RFID down the toilet. Japan arcades get gems from Sega, and good ol' USA gets the shitty shoebox console from Mattel. They've got a great track record, I loved their last console Intellivision. 20+ years later, you know they've been working their asses off on this! |

Just adding up the numbers, it looks like the wrestling game alone comes with 105 cards. Somehow i get the feeling you don't get all of them out of the box. Buy 10 or 15 in a 'booster pack' for $15, and this 'cheap' system will end up being the price of a Wii pretty quick.
And with gaming features like:
-Edgy, cartoon-style graphics
-Traning mode for single players (i assume they don't want people in a relationship?)
And did anybody even bother to proofread the 'features list' for Ben 10? It stops half way through and starts from the begining again...
I get the feeling that everything in the game is already on the disc and that the RFID cards just enable it... there's no way there's enough storage on an RFID chip to hold animation. |

The fun thing will be experimenting with unintended RFID sources and seeing what happens. |

The pics were annoying and fuzzy so I fixed them for you.
Ben10
Interstellar Wrestling League (IWL)
X-Men
The games still look crappy, the only one that looks fun is X-men, but all those games look like GBA games. I have a felling this is going to go down the drain. |

Oh man, I heard about this other really cool console coming out.
It packs a powerful punch with high quality sound, streaming video, 3-D graphics and real life images!
It's a CD based console so that means you can listen to your favorite tunes on the tube! But unlike other systems, it keeps the discs in a protective plastic case so they don't get scratched, like the PSP, but with full sized CDs!
The console will launch with a bundled in game, and also comes with one controller! So cool for just $99.99!!
Check it out!

Is Interstellar Wrestling League some sort of license I haven't heard of? Or are they actually (gasp!) using original characters? |
