Anyone here got Gamecube, GBA, and the link cable thingy? Dirty questions come to mind that the FAQs don't answer. What happens if you got the wrong Gameboy game in when tring to "connect" with the right GC game? With the GC off, can you play your GBA without even unplugging them? And the big question is: what if you started a Zelda: Four Swords 4-player game with each of the four GBA's with a game in it (they're not supposed to have any, I reckon)? Would anything explode?

The GBA has a mode that is called transfer mode, or something like that.

It's enabled by either having a direct data connection through the link port on boot up, or manualy activated if you hold Start + Select pressed during boot up.

If you have a game in your GBA while booting up for this, nothing explodes, the world doesn't end, heck, Bill Clinton doesn't even give you a live performance of Smooth Criminal.

All that happens is that the GBA either goes to transfer mode and fills its filthy 256kb memory with transferred data from the GC, or the GC game will be unable to detect the GBA and evt. tell you to restart the GBA without the cart in it or while holding Start+Select.

Some GBA flash carts (Flash2Advance comes to mind) uses this for flashing of the flash cart (and also for dumping of GBA carts)
