I was playing around in the Service Mode sound test the other day and found a voice clip of Bebop. It's quite interesting because 1) Bebop isn't in the arcade version of Turtles in Time and 2) his dialogue in the clip is exactly the same as his "catchphrase" in the SNES version ("You're history, slime balls!").
I've uploaded the voice sample to RapidShare here. You can also look up the sound itself in the ROM: boot up Turtles in Time in MAME, use F2 to access Service Mode, and select "Sound Check"; the Bebop sample is Sound Code 0B6.
Not a huge discovery, but I thought someone here might find it interesting. Any thoughts? |

Sounds like the arcade version was in a crunch for time (Lolz, TMNT: Crunch for Time) to be released (or maybe it was a budgetary issue), and they got to actually add him as they orginally wanted to for the SNES version.
Interesting find, and pretty weird that one of the most famous TMNT characters wasn't in the arcade game.

If I recall correctly it was a last minute change to have toka and razar in turtles in time instead of bebop and rocksteady. might explain why the voice clip is still there. |
