That would be interesting if this ever saw the light of day. I wonder if Blizzard ever thought of porting over Warcraft II to GBC. |

Someone may have added a picture to the Wikipedia page for Diablo, unwatermarked.
As of right now, I wont be releasing it, Blizzard was none to pleased to see it shared on the "open market." There could be some convincing though.

You might want to ask the guys at Blizzard about their anger towards this proto surfacing, rather than Internet Person #98769859664854886958. |

Why exactly would Buyatari make this up? It's not like he has a reason to.
I believe buyatari got a lot of his protos on the condition that he will never even think of dumping/releasing them, so that's why he is probably not very keen on the thought of it being released. |

I can believe that whoever sold the game to buyatari initially asked that it not be copied.
I can also believe that this person was either a current or former employee of Blizzard.
I absolutely refuse to believe, however, that Blizzard as a corporate entity has said anything at all about this prototype cartridge or its sale on the open market. |

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to get you to do anything that you don't want to do! I'm just offering a voice of logic here, I don't think a publisher like Blizzard monitors or gives a shit about this sort of thing. |

If Buyatari was forbidden to dump and release the rom, do you not also think that he wouldn't be allowed to sell the game for a large sum of money?
In all honesty, I could care less whether or not some tech demo was released on the internet. As cool as it would be to have Diablo for the Game Boy, the video was sufficient to satisfy my curiosity.

This is my thought, too. Really, once it's out of his hands, especially if he's SOLD IT and MADE A PROFIT ON IT, I don't think what he says or was told is relevant, whether it be truth, fantasy or whatever else.
Like redeye, I'm also not campaigning for a rom release or anything, but I think anything a previous owner has to say regarding what a current owner does with his own property is just talk. Unless there's a worry about staying in his good graces or something, who cares? |
