I only learned of this obscure, unreleased Virtual Boy game roughly three weeks to one month ago, and am for whatever reason totally intent on playing it somehow. (It's also made me a bit more interested in the Virtual Boy in general.)
Most of the interest in the game was back in 2005-three years ago. Back then, there was a Nintendo of America scriptwriter who claimed to have submitted a script for the game that was rejected. There was also someone who claimed to be trying to get the IP rights from Nintendo or something and is generally considered a fraud.
I'm trying to launch a new investigation into the game in the hope that currently unknown information regarding this game has been uncovered in those three years. There's supposed to be some sort of major Nintendo distribution center in Atlanta, which I hope to check out someday(though I doubt they have prototypes of any sort, much less VB ones). I could also take a trip down to the NoA HQ in Redmond, Washington the next time I get to visit my family members living other there. Finally, if I get really lucky down the road, I could go straight to Japan and hope that I get access to Nintendo's game vaults(which probably isn't going to happen unless I get employed by them and work for several years).
For now, the farthest I've managed to take my investigation is an e-mail to Intelligent Systems about a week or two ago, which has yielded no response. It's safe to say that they probably aren't going to waste time replying to me. I haven't e-mailed NoA yet, but they could very well be my best shot at this point.
It's also said that there's a collector out there who actually has a prototype of the game, but isn't sharing. I want to know who that may be, and what kind of deal could be arranged to acquire the prototype or even just a dump of the contents(even if it means saving up for several years to afford a high pricetag).
Hopefully, one of you knows something about this game that the current VR32.de/Planet Virtual Boy community doesn't... |

The main problem with that promo is that it doesn't even show any game footage! What were they thinking? (I mean, Bound High!'s promo had video footage, and so did all the other VB games that made it to market! It just painfully reminds me of how bad marketing can make a potentially good product awful in the eyes of society.) If you actually look up the game on various sites, you see screenshots of a game that could be described as classic Zelda with a different protagonist and much more jumping.
Also, I read that thread and all other ones relating to this game in this forum. Went back to the very last page, just to make sure.
If only I can figure out which people have the "very private dump" mentioned in that thread you linked to... |

Hmmm...this is currently leading me nowhere.
How about we investigate E3 1996? This game and a few others were showcased in playable form, but of course never released. If nothing else, I might find out some interesting things concerning other games... |
