I run a fairly powerful Dual core rig (building an additional core 2 this weekend) 24/7 so if you need I can leave a pass cracker on for a few weeks. |

Sorry for bumping, but how is the password cracking coming along? I really want to know what's in that other file...
I don't think I can help tools-wise, as I haven't worked much in the password-cracking area. I did try once, but about three minutes into the cracking, I remembered the password.
EDIT: Also, awesome ROM release. I think we all love adding never-before-seen ROMs to our collections. Thanks.
Cheers,

I finally found the robo64.zip on an old backup disc and decided to give it a go a few weeks ago. It seems however that the password is longer than 7 characters and with ziperello it'll take 500+ days to run though 8 character passwords on my PC.
So, I doubt we'll see this one cracked unless someone already succeeded? |

I've never tried password cracking before and there's not much info on the Ziperillo site.
Does the program work with multi core processors?
Utilize GPUs to number crunch like F@H? |

Can you upload the file somewhere? |

Well it seems the password is indeed "i9KKs9s" as mentioned earlier, however when unzipping, my zip file does CRC erros as well, just like herpetic.adventures' file did. (no I didn't get the one I used from him
So I believe it's save to say that we'll never see the content of robo64.zip, the archive is corrupted. It could've been an early preview, aargh! |

Thanks, I'll try asking around other message boards for help.
Even if we can't get the whole thing, some corrupted data would be better than nothing. |
