I've just read the following about NES Darkwing Duck at a certain Spanish site:
Quote: | Lamentablemente, pese a su calidad, su secuela nunca llegó a ver la luz a pesar de haberse anunciado la intención de realizarla poco después de salir éste a la venta. |
Which translates into:
Quote: | Sadly, despites of its quality, the sequel never saw the light of day, even if the intentions of developing it were announced shortly after release. |
So.. is there any truth to this? |

As far as I am aware, the only source we have that Darkwing Duck 2 was even considered is a listing in the Rumor Mill section of the Digital Press Collector's Guide. There are quite a few rumored games included in there that have no sources attached to them, which is a shame. I trust all of the editors that have worked on it (myself included!) but I wish whoever added that game took the thirty seconds it would have taken to write where the rumor came from in the description. |

Reminds me of that time when the ending sequence of Shadowrun for SNES told me to watch out for Shadowrun 2 =(
Well, technically, about a decade and a half later, we did end up getting that awful FPS game |
