Does anyone know what Sega's logo used to look like in the '70s? Did David Rosen pull a cheap one?

they started using their current logo around 75 or so. which is suspiciously close. But it might be that both companies just used a generic font bought in from somewhere else or something.

I think it was a pretty generic font type popular in the 70s. Look at the original Toronto Blue Jays logo:

I've seen the same font in the logo of the Inner Circle board game. The E is a dead giveaway. And taking the C and N out of that logo gives the logo of the TV network CNN.

I've also seen it in the logo of Sentinel cotton swabs, but I've never been able to find a pic online.
