Here is an advert from the September 1974 issue of Playboy Magazine.
I don't think I'll have to point out to any of you what this reminds me of.
Does anyone know what Sega's logo used to look like in the '70s? Did David Rosen pull a cheap one? |

judging from this page-

they started using their current logo around 75 or so. which is suspiciously close. But it might be that both companies just used a generic font bought in from somewhere else or something. |

I think it was a pretty generic font type popular in the 70s. Look at the original Toronto Blue Jays logo:

I've seen the same font in the logo of the Inner Circle board game. The E is a dead giveaway. And taking the C and N out of that logo gives the logo of the TV network CNN.
I've also seen it in the logo of Sentinel cotton swabs, but I've never been able to find a pic online. |
