:LAUGHING OUT LOUD: - it's that big already is it?
PS. I added Issue 39 today. |
Yeah, after downloading issue #39 it's at about 21.7GB. Well worth the hard drive space though, I didn't think I'd ever see a digital Edge archive, especially one this large!
I've been flipping through the early issues, and I can see now why Edge is such a big deal. It is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the other magazines that were published in the UK at the time. After reading these issues of Total! it's kind of shocking to see how different Edge is, even with the same editor. |

I did yes, thank you. They arrived while I was out of town around the 29th, and I just got them in my possession yesterday. I haven't had time to sort through them yet but they look great, thanks again. |

Hey Frank,
You never sent me your address for those magazines. You still want them? |

I have a ton of issues in storage. I'll be going there this weekend, so I thought I'd see if you're still looking for these. I had a subscription from about issue 35 through about issue 153 (I'm looking at the covers on Retromags and seeing which ones I recognize). The majority are in pretty good condition; however some issues from the first few years are a bit beat up (e.g. dog-ears, tears, etc.). I also have the first year (or two?) of issues that I ordered as back issues at some point, and they're in good shape.
I don't know if you care about these, but a lot of the "extras" are either intact or I still have them, too. This includes posters, trading cards, merchandise catalogs, little tear-out mini-magazines (I think most of them were for Pokemon), and probably some other stuff. I also have some NP-published player's guides. |

Just so we're clear before you go looking, I'm not really willing to pay much for Nintendo Power specifically. If you're just looking to give them a good home I'd be happy to send you a few bucks in thanks, but if you're looking to make money, let me stop you before you go digging around. |

I have back issues of PC gaming mags from about 1994 - 2001. I don't know how many were damaged when my house flooded (twice), but I still have a lot of them.
I also have most of the game informers from 2004 - now and a crap ton of pennied out guide books.
If you want any of them, they're yours. I'll pay shipping. I probably won't be able to do anything with them until after July though. |

Yeah man, that sounds great. Guides are one of those things that I've been putting aside for when I'm living somewhere that's not a tiny apartment, but hell, I'll take anything you've got if you're covering shipping too. They'll be in a good home. |

This thread is great and I could really use some help.
The deal is, I won "Trick of the Month" in EGM2 sometime when I was in junior high. I am pretty sure it was somewhere between May of 1996 to December of 1996 but I am not really sure. Now that I am an adult I'd really like to have at least 1 copy of the magazine to frame and joke about "back when I was a kid..."
Anyhow, I'd be willing to buy any and all issues from the dates listed above. If you want to be even more helpful, you can check the Trick of the Month category in those magazines and look for a trick from the Die Hard Trilogy fps game with the winner being "Kyle, from Brazil, Indiana"
If anyone wants to help out a fellow gamer or has some issues you can glance through; I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks! |

I couldn't find a scan of the December issue, but I checked scans of the others and didn't see it. |

Dude how did you miss it KingMike? I just found it, October issue, page 46. The cover is Die Hard Trilogy. None on eBay unfortunately but if you're willing to pay too much, I know a guy with a huge stock that probably has one.
EDIT: Issue #28 for what it's worth. Looks like this:

Retromags hasn't scanned it, I don't know if anyone else has (though apparently KingMike has a scan?). |

Awesome guys! Thanks so much for the help.
I would pay quite a bit for a mint copy of the magazine. I suppose $50 for the 1 mag is "quite a bit" to me. Not sure if that even starts the discussion or not, but please have your friend contact me.
Thanks again. I'll be checking Ebay regularly. Id like to have a handful of copies just because so I'll buy more than 1 copy if anyone has one.
Again, I am looking to buy 1 or more copies of EGM2, October 1996, Issue 28.
I am pumped, thanks again. |

Argh. Damned mags. TheRedEye, I haven't forgotten about this, I just (still) haven't had enough time at the place where the mags are to get them sorted and shipped yet.
This is what happens when you're living in three places, in two states, and your wife and your place of work are in different locations than your miscellaneous gaming paraphernalia, boys and girls. |

No problem, thanks for the update.
I fell way behind on organizing my magazines so I basically started over, I'll take pictures of my library once I'm caught back up if you guys are interested. It won't be very interesting though, just a bunch of white comic book style boxes stacked high. I mailordered these nifty "shells" that let me use them more like drawers, I'm a big fan:
