Hi all,
Matt and I just released another Unreleased NES game, this Time Dino-Hockey, over on NintendoAge. Super early and very glitchy, it's an interesting proof of concept.

Enjoy!

Does the download link only appear if you're a member of Nintendo Age? I don't see one anywhere. |

That appears to be the case. The download link appears under the original post once you log in. |

I managed to download it. What little is in the proto is interesting. It reminds me a lot of Hit the Ice, with the two on two gameplay and the characters being able to attack each other. The poor Triceratops player seems to have it really bad in this beta, getting the crap beaten out of him. He can't even touch the turtle/puck without getting sent flying all over the place.
I do wonder what they would've done with the premise in a more finished version. I was thinking that maybe they could somehow implement cavemen for the dinos to eat for power ups. I'm guessing there wouldn't be an RPG mode like Hit the Ice, though that certainly would've been interesting with dinosaurs. As usual thanks for sharing it Mark. |

I'm really curious as to who developed this. It's definitely not a Sunsoft game.
I got bored and picked through the graphics and code, and there's almost nothing unused lurking within, save for a few sprites. I was hoping to find the rest of the intro text, but what you see in-game is literally all there is. |

Dinosaurs, hockey (though not on ice) and unreleased games? That rings a bell. |
