When you get to the Big! Gold ! Buddah! and you pick the leaf! with the virus on it!
Digging through my old MST3k tapes I found some ads for Burn Cycle. So was that game any good? |

When I read the topic, I instantly knew what this thread was going to be about.
That game is supposed to be the only CDI title worth half a shit. |

Burn Cycle was overrated and overhyped. I will say it was one of the better FMV games I ever remember playing, but is that really saying a whole lot? It had style to spare, but the game at its core wasn't anything amazing.
But the CD-i had a badass version of Jeopardy, yo. |

What about that game Lil Devil? That looked like it might have been decent. ANd you know, I think BUrn Cycle might have been released on PC, making the CDi version moot. |

I'm all about the MST3K!! Puma Man forever! (Although I was always more of a Joel guy than a Mike guy.)
Burn: Cycle, yeah, I remember that... truly a game from the era when they were DESPERATELY trying to make CD-Rom technology seem edgy and hip. Haha. |

I never played Lil' Devil, but I did hear good things about it. There actually were a handful of CD-i games I enjoyed quite a bit, I'll just be damned if I can remember the titles of most of them. The ones that still stand out in my memory are only the really bad ones.
Incidentally, yeah, Burn Cycle did have a PC release - and I'm pretty sure Lil' Devil did too. |
