Tune in next month to watch Frank connect Curry Soup with postmodern gaming experiences. Truly a sight to see. |

Ooooooh.
Funny how Vice was mentioned, I've been playing that game quite a bit lately. Blast those crazy jumping sections with ladders in the way! |

I finally sat down and played through this one.. and it's actually really damn good. Even has a Golgo 13 reference (least I'm assuming that's the "Duke" he's talking about) Great find. |

This one was good enough to make me want a label.. So I made one up and added it to the site.. there's a new Kid Niki3 one on there too if anyone's interested.

Hmm, I think the label could be a bit better to be honest. Here's a link to various auction sites in Japan for Sugar manga. You might find something better as a basis there.

Well damn. Last time I checked out Yahoo Japan for those, there was only one volume. |

Yeah well, I made the label for me mainly.. and the only pic I had to work with was the one from TRE's article and screenshots from game. If you want a better one though photoshop is pretty easy to find :) hope you have as much fun making them as I do. |

It takes me a while for things to suddenly hit me... sorry for bumping.
I may be doing a discussion panel at an anime con (first one I'll be going to in almost two years) this coming April on Anime-franchised video games in America. If you guys don't mind, I was thinking about mentioning this one since this one was actually planned for an American release. I'll be more than happy to plug LL for bringing it to the public eye, and to whoever managed to uncover this game.
One reason this game may not have been released (in Japan or America) might have been due to the creator of Master Thief Sugar himself, Takao Saito. Takao is rumored to be very difficult to work with when it comes to anything with his work in the hands of others outside his own studio. (He's been criticized for behaving way too much of a businessman, that I was able to scrounge up) Perhaps he didn't feel it didn't translate into a video game, it's hard to say for sure. I don't know much about the MTS manga, or a whole lot about Takao Saito other than some really basic info, to go on...
That'd be my guess. It's not like any company to pass up on a game with a guaranteed gameplay forumula, not even... especially not Vic Tokai, who published much worse. Like Golgo 13.......

What he said. I don't mind and, in fact, would appreciate it. |

I'd have to punch you all in the fat if it were. I figured it'd be cool, just needed to go through the whole motions in case someone accuses me of ripping of your material.
Anime fans are, by default, retarded. They would pull something like that. |
