|
|
I've always felt Frank has been an instrumental person for the longest time to us gamers. He spend countless amounts of $$$ in running lostlevels.org, buying and dumping protos and overall good stuff for the entire community.
Unfortunetly, as with every shooting star, bad things can happen to the best people. So I've decided to put together a little fund raiser on his behalf.
I've got a few extra donor boards, and a lot of extra EPROM chips. So here's the deal.
The next 3 orders that I get for reproductions, the full funds will be donated to Frank. In fact, all payments must be made via paypal directly to Frank!!! (e-mail me for his paypal address) I will pay for the donor cart, EPROM chips and shipping out to you!
Click on the banner below to see what carts are available. You're welcome to select any cart you want (except for FF3j since I'm out of donor boards for that one).
Anyone that donates to this cause will have their name added to this thread, and once Frank confirms payment, the cart will be made and shipped out to you!
my NES want list - will trade for reproductions!

If I still had a NES, I'd kill to get working carts for Wai Wai World 2, Kid Dracula and Dream Penguin Adventure.
Oh, woe is the life of the jobless translator... |

I had a long, dramatic argument with my ex-girlfriend that left me feeling like an asshole, was informed that three entire boxes of prototypes I purchased was stolen, got a call from Wells Fargo telling me someone has been making fraudulent charges on my checking card to Russia, and had to cancel my first sushi dinner in about two months because I just didn't have the money, all in the last 24 hours.
And yet, you've made my day.
I can vouch for this man, I commissioned him to make a California Raisins cartridge for the game's programmer, Robert Morgan, who was immensely impressed. He even asked where we got the professional label from! If you've been looking for a repro cart, there really isn't a cheaper or more reliable way out there that I know of. |

8) Thanks Frank. Just trying to give a little back for so much that you have given in the last few years.
I just sent you a PM. |

If I wasn't facing Winter Equinox Holidays PLUS possible car repairs needed, I'd so chip in for a Sweet Home cart.
That's just worth having a cart for... and for a good cause.
EDIT: How long will you be doing this fundraiser, Leon? |

He'll still be making these once the funraiser is over, though, so order one anyway! There's nothing more awesome than loaning Sunman to a friend, just because you can. |

... wait a sec. What carts do you need?
I have a few games that I don't want [and that I'm sure no one will miss] you could use to splice some games into. |

UPDATE:
I'm glad to see so many people have taken interest in this fund raiser to help Frank out. The following people have so far came through for Frank:
- First: A Boy - ordered Earthbound
- Second: youruglyclone - ordered Earthbound
The games will be made ASAP and shipped in 48 hours via air mail.
There's 1 more donor cart sitting around and blank EPROM chips waiting for a generous board member.
Thanks folks. |

SPECIAL BONUS OFFER COURTESY OF LOST LEVELS, INC.:
If you order Hero Quest, I'll pull some strings and make sure you get the final, bug-free version we'll be using for a future article, rather than the crappy one from theredeye.net. There's only one slot left, folks, so if you want to be one of the first to play this great game as it was meant to be, place that order now! |

- Third: Chunky - ordered Earthbound

Once again, thanks to all the kind hearts that helped me pull this together. I'm going to be a very busy person for the next couple of days. :D
