Is everyone allright? I hope none of you lived in any of the affected areas. This is pretty scary. The city's been going under and it will get worse considering that the levys and the pipe systems are failing and will break. I know we have a lot of folks from Florida that come here and probably New Orleans as well.

Kenny "Klarth" Sutherland, the set of eyes you see on our front page that aren't mind, lives in the New Orleans area, and we haven't heard from him yet. Keep in mind, though, that power and internet connections are mostly gone right now, so we may not hear from him for a while. I'm kinda pissed that I didn't save his phone number somewhere, it got lost when I dropped one of my old cell phones in the toilet and fried it. Hope you're okay, man. |

But I was at one time. But I'm not anymore, that's the other Klarth. Of course.
And we're fine, by the way. |

A few weeks later.... GREETINGS FROM TEXAS! Did you ever wonder where the drained-for-urban-development Louisiana wetlands went? Turns out that THIS VERY WEEKEND they'll get located to my dear, sweet state.
I'm about 190 miles away from the coast, next to I-35 and about an hour north of Austin... I was feeling pretty good about all of this, even though every SUV-owning offspring-protecting mother and father hen have slammed into every single Wal-Mart and HEB and gas station in the area. Then, this afternoon some hurricane expert says he and a few models are predicting that the Hurricane will travel up I-45 for a while, then swing back south along 1-35.
Wonderful. :P |

I just seriously can not understand how traffic could be Jammed so bad.
Of course, though, a lot of people have been evacuating Houston when they probably shouldn't be... Also, if I had a real jonesing for an iced-out grill, where the heck can I go now!??! |
