Hi, i remember like 10 years ago a cart which was supossed to be MK3 but actualy was a hack of MK II but with "new" playable chars like Noob Saibot. I remember the hack was awsome and the best of all: When you turned on the SNES you had to wait till the Full Motion Video of Killer Instinct Arcade ends!!!!!! it was like a whole minute FMV. So please if you seen this game lemme know!!! I haven't found anything about it. The one i had was NTSC american-like cart |

SNES carts have the memory capacity for a whole minute of FMV?
...and enough to spare for a game? |

Sure. Information on Mexican bootlegs like the one you mentioned is scarce on the internet, my theory being that there just isn't a high enough concentration of classic gaming enthusiasts there such as yourself. I'm sure there are lots of really neat games to be found in Mexico but, unfortunately, there's no one putting much of an effort into doing so. I honestly wish there were. If I had to guess, no one on this forum has ever seen this cartridge, since it was probably exclusive to Mexico, and as far as I'm aware, you're maybe the second Mexican to ever register here.
I know that doesn't help, but it's the best I can do. |

You'll have to send it to someone who is capable. I'm sure if you post a request for a dumper here, we can find you someone. |

I think Rise of the Robots had FMV also, but the less said about that game, the better. |

It did, although it was very low res (run in a small box in the middle of the screen), although it does prove that snes can do fmv. |

Actually, practicaly any game console can do FMV with the right processors. The real problem isn't with the hardware, but the amount of ROM a media has. FMVs are very space-consuming and thus, regular-sized carts can't handle them well. This is why RE2 for N64 had a very large cart size (512MB IIRC). |

512 megabit, or 64MB.
Also, the European version of Paper Mario is apparently 64MB, compared to 40MB for the US and Japanese (Mario Story) versions.
That much multilingual text? |

Fascinating.
I've always said more people need to document the scenes in foreign countries, like Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South American countries etc.
There's quite a lot of unusual bootleg stuff from South Africa (especially Famicom stuff), though in recent years most of it has been disposed of and is dissapearing thanks to official company presence appearing.
Pity, since is was heated mix of the Hong Kong immigrant population importing their bootleg wares, bolstered by homegrown content, plus a lot of official grey imports from the States and Japan.
And now I've lapsed into a long winding anecdote. Oops.
There is an unbelievable amount of info out there in non-ceonventional countries, and few people have documented them. Keep us posted on your Mexican adventures phr3ak. |

okay, know this is an OLD thing to quote, but:

It has something to do with default cartridge sizes I guess.
I see it all the time on GBA games.
Open it in a hex editor and I bet you will find huge amounts of unused space inside the rom (just blank data)
Or evt. you'll find totaly raw text in the multilingual while it's compressed in the original release (can't remember which games I've seen that in... Think it might've been Minish Cap) |
