The first version only had the bears dancing in a congo line with the amaaaazing fruit part while pushing their fruit into the bag, I think. The version Frank found has the "now in Tropical" part included. There was no tropical to begin with.
And yes, it's sick that we all remember this thing. |

I know they tacked on the Tropical part later, but I still think there was another shortened version. Or maybe the Tropical version is the "shortened" version I'm thinking of and they cut a little of the earlier segment out to make room for the bear on the vine.
I think he's actually one of the best parts of the commercial.

I assume this is where Red found the commercial.
This is starting to make me feel like maybe subliminal messages really do exist. Maybe the Amazin' Fruit was really telling us to kill the president or something. I'm even more surprized that they apparently still make the things.
Maybe the brainwashing serum is what always made me sick. I think the Tropical ones were the worst. |

I doubt they still make it, they charge $ 23.46 per bag. Scarily, I remember that commercial from when I was a kid too. |
