Does anyone know the history of this particular N64 game? The title was never released, though the completed game was recently dumped by Carrot. Oddly enough, it had a full spead in an issue of Nintendo Power, but outside of that I wasn't able to dredge up much info. |

Something tells me the game just wasn't worth the trouble/costs of getting slapped onto hundreds of hundreds cartridges and spread out to stores.
Kinda like instead of being:
"A hell, the damage is already done, let's release it"
They probably went
"We've already wasted money on porting this, no reason to waste even more on releasing it too..." |

What does O.D.T. stand for?
/me is really beginning to abhor acronyms, almost as much as people who use IRC commands in web forums. |

It is not an unreleased game at all. I don't see why the N64 dump was neccessary, but oh well, I assume some are interested; Because this game was commercially released for PS1 and I am told that it was mediocre, to say the least. |

Because it exists, because it isn't the ps1 game, because it's a different set of code, because it isn't the same thing. Just like that other proto you have in that thread you started, it may essentially just be a revision but it still deserves to be preserved. |

yeah ODT was released on other platforms but it was said: unreleased for N64 (!!!)
basically the game is not as bad as it seems, even it's true it's not a big deal too i agree
the dump of this game was released for the history of the N64 and for the respect of the work of the progammers of the game.
and for people that are critisizing that this rom is now available, go ahead and prove you can do better. But i doubt that something 'll come up for our old N64 as the protos for this platform are very rare ....

The only N64 prototypes I see float around these days are god damn Turok and Tony Hawk prototypes (that almost goes for all systems those two series have showed up on) |
