I noticed a review of Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero in an old PC review magazine. It featured screenshots that showed that some keyboard shortcuts were assigned to the function keys as oppose to the triangle/circle/square on the PSX. So, the screenshots looked legit, and the magazine even reviewed the game, rating it.
I contacted Midway about this a long time ago, and they told me the PC edition got cancelled. However, based on the 'review' I found, I suspect there had to have been a somewhat playable version at some point, perhaps anyone else would have more info about this?
Furthermore, I've found some more 'proof' that this port for the PC was planned:

I suppose one could say that the port, much like Sub-Zero's life, is a mystery. |

for a while, i thought the PSX version had been canceled too... Unfortunately not...
Generally when a PC port of a crappy console game gets scrapped this close to being completed, it's because the testers found some crippling bug that wasn't worth fixing (the other big reason is because it'll cost more to stamp the discs then they expect to make). See Myth II where the game formatted your hard drive when you uninstalled (yes, i know it's not a console port, but stay with me here). This game in particular? No idea, but those are my guesses. |
