Hi, im sorry if this is the wrong place to have posted this topic, i was just wondering if anyone knew if beta versions of the snes racing game top gear (top racer in japan) exist anywhere?

I ask this as i remember entering an action replay code for the game which makes the game have incomplete graphics and leaves a permanent letter "b" in the corner of the screen (if memory serves me correctly) . I was wondering if this was a code which unlocked an earlier version of the game or not. For some odd reason this has always been my favourite game, so im really curious to know if different versions exist.

sounds to me more like a code that just corrupts the graphics

id bet the b in the corner is coiincidental

well unfortunately i dont think i have the game or an action replay cartridge to hand just now, but from what i recall there was a random b left on screen, but yes perhaps it did just corrupt the background graphics (e.g. mountains red instead of green) as it didnt do any major changes to the rest of the game.

Im not looking for a link or anything im just curious if anyone knows if there is a beta in existence anywhere at all... i imagined if there was one it would have come to light by now...

I'm pretty certain there's no beta Top Gear roms out there, and I don't think anyone's even found a proto yet. Evan is the resident SNES guy, if anyone would know, it'd be him.
