Today, Lost Levels brings you the unreleased, unlicensed NES game Xybots, from Tengen.
Xybots is... different. The pseudo-3D gameplay is something I haven't seen attempted often on the NES, but the game itself is very drab and repetitive. As much as I wanted to, I just wasn't able to really get myself into the game. Hopefully some of you guys will enjoy it more than I did.
Make sure you wait on the title screen long enough for the instructions to display, since there's more to the controls than just running and shooting.
Download Xybots here. |

It's like Faceball 2000 in color, but with way more suck.
Wait, I guess that came out for the SNES too. Just way more suck, then. |

Excellentness, seems like I might have something to else to trouble my mind with later tonight than whatever I would normally be doing.
(Somehow, this game reminded me of "Rescue - The Embassy Mission", and how I many times in the past wished for a multiplayer version of it for GameBoy) |

Xybots was a cool game back in the day. It hasn't aged well tho. |

I guess the NES version isn't bad (or even finished), but the Lynx and Arcade versions are better. |
