This youtube video claims to be an unreleased Game Boy Color RPG called Infinity. Does anyone remember anything about this game? It looks real except for the text box. Idk though. What are your thoughts?

One of the members of Chrono Resurrection, tssf, was working on this game, and if I remember correctly the project was cancelled because the GBC was already dying and they decided to start developing it for the NDS, but I think they cancelled that one too.

Oh, and here's a site with more info:
http://www.affinix.com/projects.html

EDIT: tssf once said on the Chrono Resurrection forum that the game was around 95% finished. And here's a site that has some music from Infinity: http://www.gamemusic.ca/infinity/index.html

Looks quite cool, shame they didn't start developing it a bit earlier.

PS: Was the remaining 5% changing the word "hell" to "heck"?

Why doesn't someone try emailing them for more info, or maybe even the beta rom?

hopefully they decide to release a rom for this sometime soon but the site said it was a slim possibility. Shoot they should try to sell it to good deal games. I would spend like $40 on that!

Hi, I found this forum about when this topic was made and downloaded the Infinity soundtrack and I just loved it. Unfortunately I got a new computer about six months ago and forgot to bring the soundtrack over to the new computer.

I simply can't live without the Infinity soundtrack, but it seems as if affinix took down all the tracks from there site except for one. Is there anyone who's got the soundtrack and can put up a zip-file for download? I would be extremely thankful.

Also I think there was a rom going around with the almost complete game, I don't know if it's just a recreation from my own optimistic mind or if the rom actually exists, anyone got any info on that?

thanks

The Internet Archive has most of the game's music, though it looks like they're missing a few files. Here's a ZIP with what I could get: http://www.mediafire.com/?inr52jjxnyw

The missing songs are:

05 - The Creator (Evil)
11 - Kassim, Desert City
14 - Mystery
15 - Mystic
16 - The Overworld
18 - Sadness

Bonus tracks:

04 - Boss 2
06 - Past

Did you try e-mailing Eric, the game's composer?

Thank you, really appreciate it! Smile

I never thought of emailing him as a possibility since he doesn't seem to be mentioning ever working on it at what I suppose is his own website. But maybe I should try contacting him after all.

Once again thanks for the help.

No problem!

His site is where I found these. He used to have the entire game soundtrack posted; they only disappeared when he redesigned his site recently. I don't know him personally but he'd be the best bet, I think.

Let me know what you hear. I hadn't heard of this game before, but I'm curious now having listened to the music.

Wow talk about an old thread. I forgot this game even existed. Too bad the bump didn't contain a rom.

LAUGHING OUT LOUD, you're telling me! I forgot I ever posted in this thread, then suddenly I get notification of a reply! Watching the video preview again, boy I'd love to play this.

It looks like the MP3s are back now, though - it's possible to get all of the files that were 404s before.
