Does anyone know what changes were made between the FC game Salamander and it's US equivalent, Life Force? Salamander uses custom hardware that's not found in the US version, so I figure the game had to be dumbed down a little for that reason. At a glance, I notice the status bar was simplified in Life Force, are there any other changes? I recall someone talking about Salamander having multiple endings, based on the number of lives you use, I think. |

That would be me. There are 3 pictures that display along the credits, depending on the number of continues. A helmet, (use up all of them.) the Vic Viper, (use once or twice I think.) or the pilot. (use none) Each has a small animation at the very end. You can also get a maximum of 3 options, where Life Force has you stop at two. |

Speaking of that, another thing you could add to the ending faq is an update to Starship Hector's ending section. You mention the fact that after beating the game your ship gets replaced with a robot. I don't know if you noticed at the time but that robot is actually Bomber King, or Robowarrior if you're going by US names.
Seems Hector was made by most of the same staff at Hudson as Bomber King, so it was thrown in as an easter egg. Its not terribly important but I thought it might've been worth mentioning to readers as a bit of trivia. |

Heh, I completely didn't notice that Arn. That's exactly the kind of stuff I like throwing in the endings guide. That's so going into the next update. Thanks man. |
