this game looks great. it seems like it is a pretty good amalgamation of contra, simons quest, and links adventure. check it out.

why didnt this game get brought to the us? i'd think between the great music, totally awesome graphics, and ninja-gaiden-meets-metroid fighting styles, this game would have been a shoe in to be released in america. ive poked around a little on youtube and it seems like there was commercials for it in japan, so i guess it had to do well. i know fuuma was in wai wai world, but it seems like konami put a lot into the development of this game and then never hooked us up! moreover, how can i get my hands on this translated? im hoping i can cover some songs from this game on now youre playing with powar 7, it seems like i recognize a few from the beginning of this game. |

Yes, those graphics are gorgeous for a 1987 release, but this is not surprising.
Konami's experience in arcade and computers (MSX Konami games were nearly perfect ports of arcade games) played a role in it's foray into consoles in 1986. Take a look at this website, guys.

It's interesting to check out and compare MSX/NES releases. The most famous conversion, of course, being Metal Gear. The MSX versions put the NES versions to shame. But for the most part, the NES conversions of arcade/MSX games were fairly decent. |

This game is amazing, but looking at the situation, Konami had a LOT of quality stuff to put out in '87-'88 that wouldn't have problems passing the censors or need any translation, so I am not shocked it never got localized. |

I only played this game once, so after reading this tread I went back to play it and I'm really enjoying it. I'm gonna make sure to finish this game. |
