I saw a screenshot or two, dreamily through a PLAY IT LOUD ad from Nintendo Power I do believe, scanned to the internet and posted online.
This game, this name, is curious and calls to me.

Unreleased SNES game from Electro Brain. That's about my extent of knowledge on it.
Perhaps we can track down some employees of this defunct production house and see if anyones got anything left from it?
Probably (almost definitely) not valid anymore, but here's their info...

Funny this should come up. Someone who used to work at Iguana emailed me a few weeks ago regarding this game.

My name is J.Moon and I was one of the founding members of Iguana Entertainment. In the early days of Iguana we were working on Future Zone for Electro Brain. I believe it was for the S-Nes and maybe Genesis. The guys at Electro Brain would play the stock market in the morning and in the afternoon, they were wanna be video game publishers. These guys did not have a clue and would ask us to put things in the game that were down right stupid. Finally we were fed up and told him to them to find another developer. We also gave them their money back, and I don?t think that has ever happened before.
Then Greg Thomas-Visual Concepts took on the project, we saw it at the show, but the game never made it to market. |

J.Moon wrote: | Evan,
It’s hard to remember, it’s been so long. I remember it consisted of different views. I recall it having horizontal side scrolling, and the main character could somehow go up and down the sides of buildings. There also was a level that the main character was is a ship in a vertical shooter. |

Man, do you see how long it takes that guy to gun butt the aliens? I wonder if the gun butt attack just sucks or if they freeze the monsters before the attack follows through.
Like J. Moon says, this game looks like a showboat with good animation and riding the 90's cyberpunk fumes.
I may be wrong, but it seems like a rip-off of the Alien game series; playing a lot like the NES version. |

So I take it that what we see was developed by Visual Concepts. |

Oh cool, I've been talking to him a bit too, he's a cool guy. He's one of those random unlockable game developers in NBA Jam, sadly he is not Air Dog. |
