| On his website, freelance computer consultant Joe Hitchens has pages from a design document for an unreleased Sega (Genesis?) game called Kye's Quest. It's one of many games he worked on while at Sculptured Software. |

So, it's looking like it's not related to a Windows puzzle game I used to play as a kid. :(
