Apart from seeing the footage of it in shenmue 2 and reading a little in shenmue dojo's forums this game is a bit of a mystery to me, does anyone know if the game was actually complete or not?
I saw footage that goes all the way up to the latter stages of shenmue 2 but im not sure if that means the game was finished (or at least if shenmue 1 was) or if they skipped ahead a bit while making the saturn version.

Does anyone know of a website or anything that has documented the changes made between it and the final dreamcast version?

Shenmue was split into two games during Dreamcast development, originally it was the length of both. You can see some early Dreamcast footage on the Project Berkley disc that shipped with Virtua Fighter 3tb JAP release, that shows 'both' games.

Sadly the chances of this leaking are pretty slim. Speaking of Shenmue, rumors are floating around that Shenmue Online got canned.

According to Adam Doree Shenmue Online is cancelled along with the entire Shenmue franchise - so they'll never make part 3 - we'll never get a real ending.

Sega should start being less like nintendo and actually give fans games that they want. At least we're getting a sequel to NiGhTs.

According to the owner, the beta will be released in February.

I really wonder if it's authentic...

A true gamer and someone who fully knows what they've got would have shown SOME proof by now. No exceptions.

I doubt some guy in Vietnam just suddenly got it because he's got a cousin that worked at Sega. I can't believe people still post those stories thinking others will buy it, but then I see posts above full of hope and it makes me cringe. Really, we all should know better than that by now.

Maybe we need another R.E 1.5 with babelfish Japanese written around in a circle to remind us how full of shit these stories are Razz

I knew this was fake from the beginning, but what a lame excuse for an excuse...of an excuse...
