I really dont know,i dont have the psx or dc version.
Looked at videos at youtube and the level i got does not seem to match what i see, the proto plays like and agian it sounds funny.
It plays like a competition cartridge.
maybe a programmer was fooling around. |

It seems like a really early prototype of Swampy's Revenge to me. It's not too surprising that the demo is different than the final game, games go through a lot of changes before they come out. Still technically an unreleased game of course, so it's a cool find! |

Yeah,i tried to find more information about this game, but not many reactions on forums(fuckers of digitpress even removed the topic )
Maybe your right about its an early build
But why is this prototype completley different then the dump 1 by team carrot
The date on the back also makes no sense at all.
7 september build 35 what does that mean the release date, can't be the other versions where already released by then.
team spirit is also not mentioned in this version but atari and konami are |

I don't know that it's "completely different," they're just different builds of the same game it looks like to me? The only major difference I can see at a glance is the camera is closer on yours, other than that it's the same basic gameplay I thought, just on different levels. Am I wrong? Is there something majorly different?

That means that it is the 35th build made of the game, and the ROMs were burned on September 7 (I'm guessing 1999). What part doesn't make sense?

I have no idea what Team Spirit is, do you? It doesn't appear to be the name of a game developer. |

Getting angry about the lack of response is not going to get you any more information.
You have to accept that unreleased games and prototypes are a very niche thing and that surprisingly few people actually care about it enough to research such things.
Plus there is the fact that DP has been down more often than not during the past two weeks. It is quite possible that they had to restore an old backup of the forum and you post was not in it.
But yeah, exciting find, I hope you find more information on it. |

IMPORTANT QUESTION
Can i damage the cart or erase it? if i use memorycard
Just discoverd something hudge
Pussed 2 yellow buttons at the same time by accident
and the game asked for memory slot??
Normaly it only says run demo level and you can play it..
play level get score and thats it..
freaked out pushed no slot
so i went back to the title screen AND now it says...
start
options
development
start runs the demo again
options gives you another screen with
sound
controller
high score
BUT if you press development you will get the MOTHERLOAD
object viewer
sound player
record keying
world/level selecting
testing area thingy
WTF!! is this
had the balls to press object viewer and it had more selections garden, city, space, retro
pressed 1 and showed picture and frooze.
So yes red eye it looks indeed like very early version of frogger 2
BUT what the fuck is this...anybody ever seen this on a n64 cart? and again can memory card make changes? |

I think you discover the way to activate the debug menu where you can choose more option that should be not displayed for end user.
You will not erase your proto with a memory card! |

Did some experementing with the cart and found options for classic frogger, multiplayer, story mode etc.. all early crashers
but working sound editor and level design pictures.
everything works ,but crashes at some point.
making a video to show some things in 1 video without chrashing. |

also, notice that there exist a couple of dumps from other Frogger 2 betas (check the internet). it would be interesting to find out if this contains differences! |
