So, I was cleaning out my basement & found some old things that I had from a camp I used to go to (1995-1997). I found a page from Next Generation Magazine issue 19 (July 1996). The subject of said page? Project Atlantis Smile So, I decided to work on a little information gathering project (had a little downtime between final projects/studying for final exams) and this is my result (note: there's WAY too much to post here, hence why I'm just posting the link):

If you have any other information not on my site, please feel free to post it/pm me

Got a nice little rumor to share, thanks to monokoma (on the unseen64.net forums)

There is a tiny bit of annecdotal evidence that Argonaut Games might have been involved (to some extent) with Project Atlantis:

The main page has been updated as well

I am, in no way saying that this is factual, I just wanted to pass on this possibility to everyone else.

It's a possibility, but doubtful. Jez San there was saying how Argonaut shipped around several different 3-D chips and CPU cores that held amazing horsepower, and the GBA (Atlantis) has neither -- neither 3-D on a chip nor amazing horsepower.

Did A(corn)RM really work on the Atlantis hardware? Or did they just license out their new ARM microprocessor? Perhaps the magazines that originally reported that didn't know the difference?

I know you said none of this is factual, but as speculation, it would better suit some unreleased N64 predecessor -- not the lowly old 2-D GBA. :-D
