Alright y'all, I just got my Famicom and FDS and I need some game suggestions. I'm off to a good start with SMB2J and Yumekojo Doki Doki Panic , but I'd like to hear of some other stuff, too. Preferably some more obscure things that don't require a lot of knowledge of Japanese. Boy did Policenauts teach me that lesson. |

Nazo no Murasamejou
Zelda II (Has a few differences from the US version, and it's easier to level up.)
Meikyu Jiin Dababa - Decent enough Konami game, though I can't figure out how to reach the exit of area 2-0. Anybody here play this and happen to know how to finish that level? Figure it couldn't hurt to ask. |

That's good to hear. Levelling took forever in the US release. Any other remarkable differences?

Is this the same as Red Fortress? I've heard that cited as the Famicom Jackal too. |

You're much better off with the plain ol' American version of Jackal. The FDS version is limited. |

Though the FDS version came long before the NES version, and I believe that the levels were shorter to avoid needing mid-level loading time. Or so I've heard... |

Yes, the full title is: Final Commando Akai Yousai.
Akai Yousai means "red fortress". |
