no hdd support means the death of final fantasy 11 ps2 edition and any future support is now dead. its a shame really. My old ps2 died and i had to get a new one back in may so im glad i did cause im enjoying using hd advance no more laser weardown.
i know im not the only one to have a ps2 go from reading all media to just dvds or just cds or whatever (in my case it was just dvds and all the laser tweaking in the world couldnt fix it prior to it completely quiting.) at least mine broke as sony cut prices It made it around 2 years which is how long my playstation made it before quiting(had a first run ps1 with overheating problems) so ive bought around 2 consoles per generation.
I was wanting xbox like custom music ability with a hard drive in raw vs smackdown but that wont happen and xbox wrestling games are shit outside of create a player.
as for a famiclone it definetely does look like one and i cant wait to see the famiclone makers try to make famiclones that look simular to it :p |

Yeah, I heard it kinda sucked, but I had it pegged as a "when the PStwo has come out and the platform is starting to die out", like how I got RE for the DC. $5 good? Yes. $30 good? No. Such is my RE opining. |

Ahh, I thought you had it already. But yeah, $5 is good. MP is fun, until you know what to do in every mission. Then it's incredibly dull.

I'm really glad they got rid of the tray design. So many things can go wrong with it (luckily mine's been safe). I'm undecided right now on if I'll get one, but I might need to get a replacement for my older model (Read: Disc Errors Galore!) |

The answer is undoubtably "yes". the real questions are "when", "how effective will it be" and "how complicated will it be".
I'd love to see a simple FlipTop type mod, because I think it would be funny. |

I like disc trays, and I wish more console designs would use them. It's very tricky to arrange my collection so that each machine can be functional and accessible at all times, and tray-based consoles let me use space more effectively. |

God, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has that problem. The nice thing about the disc tray PS2 is that it's so long I could fit my dreamcast AND my Gamecube on top of it.
Also with the PSTwo design I'm assuming people are going to make LAUGHING OUT LOUD PSTWO IS SMALL AM I RITE jokes to replace the LAUGHING OUT LOUD XBOX SO BIG ones. |
