There was once a site on the Internet describing all sorts of Nintendo prototypes still sitting around there. (Link's Awakening sequel , early OOT on SNES, SMW with Mario riding on Yoshi's back the whole time)
Help me, please. I know it doesn't exist today...what was the URL? |

Sounds like the kind of site you'd find on April 1st. |

That would be Yoshi's Island (except when you get hit, and you have to chase the little brat down to make him shut the hell up).
Unless it was some secret version (I believe that Nintendo said in an NP review they actually gave the game a graphic overhaul before announcing it). (I actually asked Nintendo not a couple weeks before the NP came out if a SMW sequel would ever come out. They said no. Liars (yeah I know, secrecy contracts)! |

I remember reading about that too,
the game was juiced up with new visuals (courtesy of SFX2, I guess), supposedly to make the game be on the same visual level as Donkey Kong Country. |
