I've just updated my site with the concept drawing of a level that didn't make it to either the final or prototype versions, called Cyber City and then renamed to Genocide City for the proto level select.
Also, I've uploaded a very old drawing of Metropolis, which I also got from the artist in charge of the level, Tom Payne.

So I wonder if that guy will update his SOnic Long Version to reflect these drawings. I love the art he had put in there, but it don't look like what the programmers had in mind. |

I believe he/she was going to rename the Genocide City in that mod, while adding another level that looked similar to this concept... But I'm not sure if he/she has put it on hold at the moment.
By the way, I think the art in that city level was taken from the Spirou game. |
