Those of you who've played Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the NES know that if you talk with Jessica in the Ink & Paint Club, she'll tell you to give her a call:
It's easy to pass off as something the designers threw in for flavor, but you can actually find her number in the game. Look at the status bar:
Back when the game was released, you could call this number for a recorded message from Jessica giving tips on the game. I found an old magazine with a partial transcript of the message, and thought you guys might be interested:
It is shocking the way some neighborhoods are getting. You practically can't walk anywhere without running into stray dogs, cats, and other animals. It makes you wish you carried a piece of meat, a fish bone, or a piece of cheese around with you.
The weasel that is guarding Judge Doom's warehouse is the one called Stupid. I've heard that the only thing that'll get him to leave is a quick game of softball. Know anyplace where you could get a baseball in a hurry?
This came from Winning Tips for Nintendo, by Consumer Guide. It's one of those little pocket-sized books. |

I just called, the recording told me to call another number. I'd like to believe this is an elaborate treasure hunt with a series of clues. |

I remember calling that number... I did it when my parents were asleep because they'd always told me never to call numbers on TV because they cost money (1-800 numbers on commercials and what-not). I think one of Jeff Rovin's "How to Win At..." books mentioned it, too. |
