I swear I read about this somewhere - I vaguely remember it's Korean, it was nearly released in the US but wasn't, it's something like a cross between Sonic and Mario World, and it's pretty damn good. Although I'm only completely sure about the first two things.

Seems like a proto exists (there are screenshots on NES World, at least) - is it owned by someone who might possibly be willing to have it dumped and released?
