If you had access to a scanner, would be nice to have the whole issue in PDF format. ;)

Dude, do you know how long that takes?

The people who scan comics and magazines must cut the pages out and feed them into a scanner by the stack. Stating the obvious, but anything else would be ridiculous.

I managed to repair my old (new) cell phone and was able to take some shots using an old trick with a magnifying glass.

I don't think you'd get much better quality out of a scan...

I had that issue also. I'm suprised that Game.com Metal gear didn't come out. And that Castlevania SOTN port was looking interesting.

I've played that Alone in the Dark GBC game. While the screens do look amazing as still images, the emphasis on graphics comes with a major toll on the Game Boy's processor, and the gameplay itself. Essentially, the entire system devotes itself almost completely to displaying these high-color images, which means that the game can't display anything except the background and yourself. Instead of typical "survival horror" encounters, where you run-and-gun your way through corridors where evil lurks, this game has semi-random encounters. You'll notice that the screens shown with enemies are significantly lower res? That's because the game cuts away, Zelda-II-like, to a seperate "enemy fight" screen, where you fight monochrome-black enemies. You then get returned back to the main exploration screen.

It didn't? Are you sure? I could swear I saw that in stores on more than one occasion.

Alone in the dark is not a Resident Evil game.

The Alone in the Dark game was brought up earlier in the thread. Don't be a dick.

No, it didn't. Tiger distrubted a video of the gameplay on alt.games.video.tiger.game-com via email attachment to interested parties. Noone seems to have saved it (at least that I can find).

One person posted that it looked like a mirror image of the PSX title... I highly doubt that. At any rate, it was never released. You're probably thinking of Resident Evil 2.

According to one person i've talked to, the Metal Gear game was playable and close to being finished. He also believes that the game is still out there somewhere and was willing to pay a hefty amount for it. The source has proved reliable over the years, so MG may pop up someday.

Quite a bit of a bump but theres a new video available of the game. Not sure if anyone here has seen it yet but the recent talk of a Diablo Gameboy game reminded me of it Razz

I seen it, I posted there 2 weeks before actually. It's much clearer than the previous video. And, it looks to be a private dump. cause the video is really clear, it must be recorded straight from an emulator.

"In 1997, Nintendo put the first details and screenshots of their next Pocket Monsters game online. It was initially named "Pocket Monsters 2 Gold & Silver", and was developed for Game Boy and Super Game Boy and was planned for release at the end of the same year.

One of the main points posted was the addition of a skateboard as a secondary transportation method besides the bicycle from the previous games. It was said that the skateboard would allow the player to go to unusual places. Also mentioned in the releases were the integrated RTC (Real Time Clock), additional evolutions for Red/Green/Blue Pokémon, breeding and Pokémon eggs, 100 new Pokémon boosting the total amount to 251, new technical and hidden machines, new attacks, and better in-battle graphics. The game's communication abilities were also improved, adding trading and fighting between each version and backwards compatibility with R/G/B."
