I'm wondering if theres info about these anywhere. I added references to them at wikipedia article about the SFX chip.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_FX#Games_that_used_the_Super_FX_2_chip
But I wanna make sure I don't have false info. I see that site has a pic of Powerslide. Could this game be a 3d version of Powerdrive? I downloaded it and it looks really similiar, except I didnt notice any 3d perspectives. And I've never heard of Street Fighter Alpha 2 having a SuperFX2 chip, so I didnt bother adding that to the list at wikipedia. |

If i'm not wrong, Street Fighter Alpha 2 doesn't use de SFX2 Chip, it uses another type of chip.
Update: SFA2 uses SDD1 chip, like Star Ocean. Here is a link to the info.

According to my website:
"Powerslide is a Super FX supported game that was also in development for the Jaguar and 3DO. It was being developed by Elite, an English game company. This preview shot was taken from the German magazine, Nintendo Fun Vision (issue 5). According to Steve Wilcox of Elite, the game was cancelled because the cost of producing cartridges for the game was too high to make a return on the costs of software development."
I haven't heard of Dirt Racer and 4x4 Racing, but I imagine it is the same game as Powerslide. As for Transformers, I think the concept was turned into Vortex. |

How come no one ever mentions Commanche (the PC port) or FX Fighter (which was ported to PC, and I own ~blech~) when going over SFX unreleased titles? Both of these were hyped heavily when first announced, then canned not long after. I recall them both being written about in Nintendo Power somewhere around 1995 (maybe in a CES or Space World report.)
Also, has anyone ever noticed how often I use parentheses (I guess I like how I can tack on extra info with them?) |

Well, they are both on the list at wikipedia. I was looking forward to those both too. It was gonna be a games that made you suprised it's on SNES. I hear the beta FX fighter wasn't good tho. |

Yes, indeed. It was from a visit to Argonaut, I believe.
Still have that issue (February 1995). |

Take some scans and post the pics. I don't think I have that issue anymore. |
