I was trying to see if I coulda find a ROM for this game, and this place that's located in N.J. claims to have it. I dunno if it's true or not. I just hope it's a step in the right direction to find the game for anyone who wants to dump it into a ROM.

Here's the Link. I also was reading that this is one of the most rarest Nes prototypes out there. I do remember at a forum that someone has the game but doesn't wanna dump it into a ROM, since the value'll drop.

Urgh.

Someone claimed to have found a Bio Force Ape proto. It was a hoax, and a funny hoax at that. There's at least one thread in our forums about it, look for it.

The site you link to is basically a compilation taken from somewhere that lists all manner of games, released or not, like the price listings for stuff that used to be found in game magazines from years ago. If they actually have the game it'll be a miracle, but you won't find anyone else bothering to contact them to find out.

Also, "most rare proto" is somewhat silly. There are no known copies of the game. If there was one, there would be one known copy. If there were two there would be two known copies, etc. Generic terms like "rarity" are really misused when you know exactly how many there are.

I should've just replied with something like "here we go again!", but, meh.

edit: butter
edit 2: That thread is flat out scary. Anyone archive the digitpress link?

If you look in the original DP thread, i claimed to have found a store selling BFA. This is the store i tried to buy from. The claimed they had it in stock, but blew me off later. They told me they'd email me if they got another copy in, but it was an automated email anyway...

I'd really like to know who crafted that hoax. Whoever thought up the butter monster deserves a trophy.

No need to archive, it's still around:

I read through it every three months or so for jollies.

It's almost clear-cut that the whole Bio Fart Ape affair was committed by a cabal of anti-butter types, of which this forum has a surfeit. The whole debacle was one the most entertaining things I have seen on the internet since Miketheheadlesschicken.org
Bravo, all ye evildoers.

Someone on the DP forums told me he thought the whole thing was a rip on DreamTR. He was able to pull up some quotes that almost backed it up, DreamTR had just been asking for $2,000 for something and he was joking about releasing protos as communism. Who knows if there's any truth to that tho...

But in the event that you cannot reach the server for one reason or another, there is an archive of it:

It wasn't. I was in on the joke pretty early on, it had nothing to do with DreamTR.

So you're saying Shirley Hemphill isn't dead, then, correct?
