the picture in the upper right, the one with the dragon spewing flame and the warrior jumping with his sword. I don't remember it from any console or arcade game that I've played. |

Why would they put a picture of Willow in a Sega magazine? I don't think it came out for Mega Drive did it? |

Good point. We all know video game magazines never run features on games that never wind up being released. |

Is this from a Willow arcade game? I have zero knowledge of arcade releases. I'd love to plow through Willow. |

There is indeed a pretty nice looking side-scrolling Willow arcade game, I'm sure that's it. Been a while, and man am I lazy. |

haha thanks guys, I recognized it right away because it's one of my favorite arcade platformers. I never remember hearing about a Genesis/Mega Drive port either... shame really, I would have loved to have seen a port of the arcade game. Sure the NES Willow action RPG thing was somewhat entertaining, but I'm a fatty for the arcade version.
It's emulation or nothing, I highly doubt Capcom will ever put this game on one of their Classics Collections because of the licensing fees.
Uhhhhhhhhhhh. |

I don't know. I don't remember Willow being announced or even rumored for the MegaDrive~Genesis, although it may have been.

there definitally was, it ran on Capcom's CPS board, the same hardware that powered Forgotten Worlds, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Strider. Final Fight, Street Fighter II and many other games.
Willow arcade flyer
