Am I remembering correctly? Didn't some site dump and distribute Sachen's entire NES library? Or was it all a crazy fever dream?
Are they still online? I would like to replace my local copies with these, to avoid duplicating shit on the internet. |

Those aren't necessarily good dumps. I know his Jurassic Boy is fucked up, for one. |

Forgive me if I'm wrong - but wasn't 3D Block (that weirdass 3D tetris from a top down perspective) a Sachen game? Or was that someone else...
Well, anyway if it is Sachen, it's not there. |

If we're going along with the pirate games (Gaiapolis and Super Pang) as well as the unlicensed, can't forget Rocman X. |

Close enough...
I need to find my copy, if I remember correctly, it played surprisingly nice. |

Does anyone know if there is a better dump of Rocman X out there than the usual one (well, the only one I've ever found) which is pretty much unplayable? A couple of months back I actually sat down and (using a lot of savestates) managed to complete the game despite the many bugs. |

Well, the unplayable nature of Rocman X is a fault of the game itself, and not a faulty ROM dump. I personally dumped one of my own copies, and it's identical to what's on the 'net. |

That's a pity. I was hoping there was a chance it was just a bad dump, but oh well. If anyone's interested, here's a couple of shots from later in the game:

Looks like it's just recent dumps.
Not old stuff like Little Red Hood, Jovial Race, Huge Insect (NO PRODUCE!). |

I've seen Sachen games on random Japanese sites that were evidently released but still haven't been dumped, and never even appeared on their official game list.. most of them were variations the mahjong titles (in fact I think the mahjong games have all been dumped now) but there's definitely a sequel to Millionaire and a Chinese-language knockoff of Princess Maker still out there.
edit: also a couple of undumped gameboy color games... beast somethingsomething and a port of street heroes.
edit the second: which just reminded me, the nes version of street heroes has pretty much the best incoherent voice samples ever. it's also quite impressive technically, for a nes game. even if it does play like arse. |

Yeah, I knew about the Princess Maker thing (which Thin Chen denies ever making), but a Millionaire sequel is news to me. |
