Hey guys, dunno if you are a Euro Computer geek like me, but I dig those quirky but very fun European computers. Anyway, I located a site with some nicely documented lost games, sort of an uglier version of Commodore 64 Games that weren't, you know that site.

People CANNOT get away with art and game titles like Attack of the Blah-blah-crazy-out-of-this-world-whoa anymore. |

Hey, do you mind resizing your avatar? Big old avatars that break formating mess with my head. |

I take it you're referring to Attack Of The Mutant Zombie Flesh Eating Chickens From Mars?
Or just ridiculous names in general, and some nice hand drawn box art to draw you in?
It's the day and age we live in that is the reason this stuff wont fly. I know if I'm at a game store, and I see something that LOOKS interesting but I've never heard of it - I hold off on the purchase and look up reviews on the internet or find a way to... sample it first.
Usually games that rely on that sort of crap, are indeed - crap. |

handofg0d, you got the mouth right on the head.
One of the big reasons that I purchase such eccentric titles is because I hardly read magazine reviews. Yes, they're interesting and sometimes funny, but 'educated' gaming experience doesn't go without 'educated' prejudice.
Frankly, my gaming tastes are strange.
I can't get enough of Bully, Cave Story, and Buzz and Waldog at the moment.
Making out with that nerd boy in Bully is awesome. It's great to freak out your 'non-grown-up' grown-up friends.
One of the main reasons I don't even worry about new games is that I don't have the time or money. I don't have the time to keep 'in the know' or the interest... Fuck 'em. There are loads of games that I haven't even played yet to enjoy.
...
I'm sorry for opening up. I'll clean up the mess. |

All 3 of those games are great.
2 of them are free - so there's no risk there.
And I dont base my purchases on reviews alone. Gameplay clips, and screenshots, sometimes even FAQ/Walkthroughs that show me the real gameplay let me know whats right for me. |
