i've been for a while trying to get free fall NES placed onto a cart
yet something is preventing it. i'm hoping someone here would know why it wont work on a real system? i do know that it was made into fish fall on the sunday funday cart from colordreams
but i want the original on a cart.

I'm hardly an expert on the topic, so someone that knows more than me is definitely free to correct me. However, I take it that what you're trying to do is get the rom for Free Fall onto a blank cart, right? If so, I'd check to make see what mapper the game uses (or actually what the Sunday Funday cartridge used) and see if you've got the corresponding mapper on the catridge. At least to me it sounds like the mapper could be the issue. But again, I'm no expert on this, so there's quite a chance that I could be off.

I can confirm that Free Fall plays fine on a PowerPak, so it does work on a real system. I'm not sure why a repro would give you problems, though.

Do you mean scrambled as in the graphics looks completely garbled or just scrambled as in the graphics just look distorted? If it's the former, then I'd guess that you nabbed a bad dump of the game. But if it's the latter, then perhaps it's a video issue? I doubt it that's one, but I imagine you could have issues if you live in the PAL video region and used an old TV to try and play the game. I don't really think it's that, since most TVs there now support NTSC, which is what Sunday Funday would output since it's from the US.

So I'd place my money on it being a bad dump. Have you tried any other copies of the game from different sources?

i don't know what exactly is happenening with the game ,but i can tell you the dump is good. but the person doing it said the graphics "look like garbage" this is a (U) dump of free fall
the donor cart is captain comic not sunday funday.
