I have one. It's freaking huge. Takes 4 AAA batteries, and is programmable (and uses a little LCD screen like those found on calculators to do it). Slo-Mo, Rapid Fire, button combos, etc. It's not that rare, but it wasn't as popular as most other 3rd party controllers.
I can't find a picture of one either oddly enough. Mine is packed away with all my other NES crap (non-essentials). I always thought the Joycard Sansui SSS, and the Epyx 500XJ controllers I had were rarer than the MEGA. |

oh hell I remember this thing. the only memory I had was when I turned on the NES with Ninja Gaiden in with that controller connected and it displayed this weird debug mode. |

Hey, I remember seeing these. Not sure I ever saw one in person though.
So this controller unlocked the debug mode in NG? I thought you needed to do a special button combo on controller 2 for that.

at least theres more then one of those in existance, I picked one up back in the day and it was rather complicated to figure out, but baislcy you could use it to program in set moves (ie codes) to a single button press. sorta neat and not too common. |
