Matt Casamassina on his blog at IGN recently posted some screenshots and gameplay video of Halo DS.

The game actually looks fairly smooth. Maybe with Bungie going solo, they will finish this game up. |

Bungie didn't make this, it was an unsolicited concept.
Still love to see it in person someday though... |

This is exactly what I assumed, but do you actually know this or are you assuming too? |

In this interview with Kotaku, Brian Jarrad says:
Brian Jarrad wrote: | This rumor has been circulating for a while and as you know we even saw some real life screens and assets this week. Ultimately it's up to Microsoft to decide if and when they take Halo to a different platform. That particular demo was in fact created and I believe it was an unsolicited pitch a long time ago but nothing ever came of it. |
However he doesn't say by who - it very well could have been a Bungie team member's proof of concept. It could have been something a random dev shipped to them as a pitch. Who knows. "Unsolicited" could just mean that Microsoft didn't ask for it to be made, or at least that's how I interpretted the quote. |

From what i've been told, some developer came up with the concept and asked for a meeting with Bungie/Microsoft to consider it.
As for the who, frankie wasn't talking. |

Someone on IRC was saying that it was made by EA and they were using the Goldeneye Rouge Agent engine or something. |

EA was making a James Bond makeup game? Or do you just need help spelling ROGUE? |

n-Space, which did Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, apparently did this. |

Seems like a good guess. The demo has that same smooth 60FPS thing going for it, and the dumb enemy voice samples sound really similar. I'd compare but I never ever want to play GoldenEye DS again.
Also I really hate the fat guy in that video, who is he? |

In order to play it "again", that means you must have played it before... May God have mercy on your soul. |

It's Mark Bozon who is an IGN flunky that will always suckle at Matt's teet. Link goes to his quite objective and unnecessary wikipedia entry, rather than his equally objective and unnecessary IGN blog out of spite. |

I wonder how much of the game was done in this concept demo?
Hope it sees the light of day. DS Sales would probably skyrocket if they actually came out with it. |

Hell yeah! I would kill someone NOW to play Shantae 2. The first one was killer, and the vids for the GBA sequel were stunning!
Oh, btw, Hi everyone I'm still here |

Got mine a few years ago for $10 on clearance at EB Lames. Watch their used rack, you can probably get a bare one for less than $10. |
