just to fill in those of you who aren't aware, Jungletac/Jungle Soft/DJ-Jungle is a Chinese company that develops (barely) original games for cheapy plug-n-play / handheld systems based on their own 8 and 16 bit hardware. The 8-bit hardware is pretty much a NES clone, the 16-bit doesn't seem to be a clone of any existing system, but it probably is. None of their games have been dumped though. Until now?

This thing is one of these all-in-one video player/music player/emulator/camera things that's been popping up recently, supposedly it plays NES games - no idea how the emulation is, I've never used one, but I'd be surprised if it's any better than the DVD player mentioned elsewhere on this forum.

But! According to the listing, it supposedly plays NES ROMs downloaded from the internet, so it can't use any weird proprietary format (and if it does, it surely must include conversion software at least) and comes with a CD containing no less than "1,000" games, including the following:
Quote:
Basketball, Bean's Adventrue, Block Flying, Block Out, Challenge 100, Delta Fighter, Fast Racer, Fire Fighter, Lonely Island, Lucky Lawn Mower, rush the Box, Risker, Submarine War, The Night, VR Racing, Aero Engine, Bingo Zap, Birdie Nest, Insert Chase, Last Cobra, Ocean Quest, Pinball Track, Motor Rally, Spin Ball, Runner Car......

...all Jungletac 8bit games. Except Risker, which I think is hack of Excitebike, but it might be a Jungletac game as well. so, hey, new roms and shit? If I had a spare €75, I'd buy one, but I don't.

I've been wishing there was a database of Jungletac roms. Since they sometimes have up to three names or more for each game, depending on what piece of crap it came on, it's be cool to have a list of all of them and have them dumped. Some of them are surprisingly good.

So far, there hasn't been a good way to dump any of them (that I know of).

yeah, I've been thinking about starting a database of jungletac games, but laziness usually gets in the way.

as for dumping them... i honestly have no idea about dumping from these all-in-one systems, but I hear it can be quite the pain in the arse. which is why the CD with this system seems like a good bet.
