On the Famicom Gradius, if you beat the game you get a strange Japanese word. If you beat the game six more times you will get a different word each time.

The words are:
Kangeki
Omigoto
Nikui Nikui
Antawa Sugoi
Miagetamonda
Iukotonaine

Do those japanese words mean anything if you translate them or could they be maybe the name of the programmers?

Also, after beating the game a 6th time, I got a single letter under my score (an S). At first I thought it was a glitch for using a cheat, but then I saw in a Japanese page a pic of the 6th ending and the guy had an M under his score.

Anyone know what would those letters mean?

Without any kanji, it's a little hard to know exactly which meaning they were going for, but:

Kangeki = "Deep emotion"
Omigoto = "Brilliant"
Nikui Nikui = "It's tough; It's tough"
Antawa Sugoi = "You're amazing"
Miagetamonda = "I look up to you"
Iukotonaine = "There's nothing more to say, is there?"
