Y'all must be on a diet. Or maybe it was just a case of a Wizard editor being a goof:

Individually
Motivated
Artists
Generating
Excitement!

...yeah, it's lame.

Wow, the guy who created Cybernary died? That would explain why Cybernary 2.0 looked completely different. Also didn't a lot ex-Marvel people join Wildstorm and company??? I mean their comics endlessly mocked Marvel.

Of course isn't most of the Wildstorm stuff published under DC plain crap??? OF course when it comes to DC, I don't venture much outside of the Vertigo realm of things...

I don't think a bunch of ex-Marvel people joined Wildstorm, I really can't think of any.. and, to be fair, it was really Liefeld's studio that endlessly mocked Marvel. I can only think of a handful of it's books that weren't absolute crap.

Wildstorm is now owned by DC, but to be honest, I would say almost none of it is crap. I've bought quite a few Wildstorm books since DC bought them, way more than I did before, and it is typically above average stuff. The problem is, because middle-America only wants characters and stories they know, typically only shit with Batman and Superman, etc, sells, and series at Wildstorm tend to die quickly. So, no one knows what any of it is and if their stuff gets cancelled all the time, gee, it MUST be terrible.. which is a shame.

Even mainstream DC isn't all that bad these days. I can't think of much mainstream DC I actually buy, but I'm way more likely to give an unknown DC book a chance than an unknown Marvel book these days, and I was pretty much raised on Marvel.

Everything Marvel does these days seems to be based around sensationalism or big names from other industries, and that kind of shit just turns me off. Give me a good story and some pretty art and for the love of God, save the mutant universe crap for the twelve year olds.

And if kap enjoys Liefeld, you probably shouldn't look at his feet either...

I too was raised on Marvel. Granted the last Marvel comic I really read was Gambit, I really can't say much about it. Along with Marvel I read a lot of Image and Dark Horse. I mean I'm old enough to remember reading the original Aliens vs Predator.(At least I think it was one of them.)

Also didn't one the studios that published under Image have members that created some of the X-Men???

Good old Rob Liefeld was the artist for X-Force for the brief time that I read it before the Image bomb hit. I was always a fan of some of the early Dark Horse Aliens comics. Aliens Hive and Aliens Colonial Marines were pretty good as far as I remember.

Name a few things his studios have put out that didn't suck. The only things I can think are titles written by Alan Moore, and he didn't write a whole lot for Rob.

Colonial Marines was where the DH Aliens started to suck. That dragged that "Goofy Whatever Animal Type Alien" crap from the toys in to it.
Hive wasn't too bad, that had the android alien, right?

That's my point - I can't. You're a better man than I if you can.

See, you said there were a handful of good Extreme books, but I said you have small hands because when I think of how many good Extreme books there were, they wouldn't even fill my hands, therefore for a handful your hands must be smaller and it's a funny except they stop being funny when they're explained usually :|

A cartoon was planned and some test footage was made, but I don't think it was ever a full series. It was said to be too violent for American airwaves. Or maybe it just sucked.

Thanks for the comics book link....

I remember reading in an issue of EGM or GamePro that had a preview or something about the Youngblood cartoon and how it would most likely never be shown in America.

Also, there was a Wild C.A.T.S. cartoon on Saturday mornings. It was ok from what I remember of it. But then again nothing compares to the gold standard of cartoons from that era.

X-Men....

I know someone who had something to do with the youngblood game (that was never released), I'll point him in this direction.

Fun fact- rob liefield cannot draw hands, so he has someone do them for him.
