I know they are probably listed somewhere else, but I am ASKING HERE, okay?

I was inspired to make this topic after I found someone paid nearly $2000 for the box to an unreleased Ultima 8 expansion.

Richard Garriot could probably shit in an old Ultima: Exodus box and get $2000 for it.

Sonic Xtreme went for $2500.

And I'm pretty sure it's not the most expensive, but it's up there.

Ultima VIII - Lost Vale

Never really liked the Ultima series, except from Pagan, as back when it was new, it was imo the most "playable" of those games.

A few years ago, there were words about a copy of Castlevania Resurrection being sold for about $2500 too, but I can't seem to for the love of god remember where on earth I read about that.

Fredde, are you talking the computer Ultima 1 or the NES Ultima 1?
They are vastly different games....

Only played the computer one. Of course, it's not really a GOOD game, just kinda quirky.

I've heard rumours that an offer in the 5digit range has been made on Disks possibly containing Mother 3. Someone was supposed to make a post about mother 3 here. I should go look into that.

Good Lord. You know things have gotten dangerously buttery when you can make an entire year's salary off of a single unreleased game you don't own the rights to.

You heard rumors about an offer being made to yourself?

i can say that the M3 disks was not sold at all for such a price.

And i doubt there is Mother 3 on them btw ...

Anyway as nobody never got a 64dd dev disk booted, there are pretty useless.

Well see an exact offer hasn't been made yet. And I don't think I could bring myself to sell them anyways. So if it was a rumour I won't get a million people telling me how stupid I am for not selling them.

And you are correct the M3 disks weren't sold for that price. But an offer has been made.

If someone can hook me up with a flash cart I can hopefully figure out what is on them. Until then it is a mystery.

Corey, whether or not you sell or dump (or both, as compensation) the disks we would all appreciate greatly if you could make a video for us of the game being played so we could see everything in it. It would hurt to not have shared knowledge of this game with everyone. But I doubt the disks really ARE Mother 3.

I'm a bit new to this all, but what type of flash cart are you looking for? I'd really like to see something of Mother 3. It is by far the one game that I am very sad that hasnt been released.

A flash cart has been found. Just looking for a Scsi cable now. The most common piece is eluding me more than the rare ones.

Wow, a possible Mother 3 proto? Now that's exciting news!

Good luck with obtaining a cable, and keep us posted!
