Someone on my IRC channel posted this link:
http://satellablog.blogspot.com/
It is basically a blog that highlights information on the Super Famicom add-on, the Satellaview. There are tons of videos showing footage of the live streaming games - stuff you won't find on the BS roms that are available. It is wonderful these videos are out there, as there would be no other way to know how the Satellaview service worked. |

My god, thanks for the link! I've always had an eternal hard-on for the Satellaview. |

So, I've watched a few videos.
What the heck is "A View to a Kill" doing as BGM for Super Mario Collection (at the end of the first (only) Week 1 video)?
Now all we need to know is if "Never Gonna Give You Up" ever turned up. |

Huey Lewis was playing while loading up one of the Mario games; I reckon that's about as close as we'll get. |

On the subject of the Satellaview, did anyone get Treasure Conflix emulated properly? I've wanted to try that one ever since I saw it in Gamefan back in 1995. |

Hey folks, thought I'd drop in on people who talk about my blog on here.
On the note of Treasure Conflix - Try running it in SNESGT (The version currently uploaded on the site should work) with the settings I have up on my guide for emulating Broadcast/Soundlink games. Apparently Treasure Conflix reads it's fonts off the BIOs (On BSNES, these fonts glitch, but in SNESGT they seem to be legible) and I've played it a bit and have been able to clear a single stage before getting stuck on what to do next. How far did it go before crashing in other emulators? |
